My everday makeup staples.

Salut mes chéries!
If you're anything like me, then your makeup bag doesn't stay the same for more than perhaps two weeks at a time... that isn't to say that I have an endless supply of new products to test out, not by any means, however, I have a habit of continuously rediscovering old loves, and remembering quite why I loved them just so much in the first place...
Some of my current favourites however have been in my makeup bag (not necessarily the same original product of course) since time began... for example, my collection 2000 Total Colour Trio in 02 Zenith. This little beauty is fantastic value for money. Collection 2000 as a whole is definitely not on the pricey side of the 'drugstore' makeup realm. As you can see from the photo, this particular trio is a great everyday nude range, which is definitely transferable to a night look by amping up the darkest colour, adding a nice winged eyeliner, and a slick of mascara, voilà - ready to hit the town, or even just for a slightly more glam day look.

My next love at the moment is, despite it not being in any way new,  the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. This for me is the perfect drugstore everyday foundation. As I said, it's a staple in my makeup bag, and for good reason. Personally I don't tend to wear it with a primer, and can't vouch for the fact that it 'lasts for 16 hours' as I find it tends start rubbing off after around... 11 shall we say? yes. Let's go with 11. None the less, I still absolutely love this foundation, it leave's a really, believe it or not 'healthy' finish to the skin, looking dewy, and don't run away at that word guys, but yes dewy glow, without being shiny. I'm not one who likes to wear a heavy foundation on a day to day basis, I do like a fair amount of coverage, and would say that this gives a Medium coverage at least, but it still lets your own skin shine through, adding to the natural healthy effect. One thing that may put people off this foundation however is the smell, as I know that some people are averse to applying scented products to their faces, to me however, this is no issue as I absolutely love the smell. It's a very sweet, perhaps peachy smell, possibly due to it containing apricots... shocker! I would thoroughly recommend this foundation to anyone who is looking to brighten up their faces, and want's to beat away the dull skin look from the british winter, as for more oily complexions, I'm not sure how well this would fair, but I'd definitely recommend taking a crack at it, but maybe adding a primer? Let me know your thoughts on these, guys!

Ciao for now :)x

so here goes...

Salut mes chéries!
Hi guys! I'm a first time blogger, and have just started out on youtube too. I've been toying with the idea of starting a blog and youtube combo deal so to speak for a while now, and have been continuously coming up with awful excues, mainly that 'I have no time' or 'it won't get anywhere, and I'll end up looking like a fool'; but I've decided to get over myself and get out there, what's the worst that could happen eh? *touches wood*. So I've already made the first move and have uploaded a video of a recent ELF Haul; I apologise profusely for my awkwardness in the video as well as the terrible lighting, but I was eager to get it out there before the excuse monster came creeping back!
I think I'll leave this here for now before my annoying habit of uncontrollable babble kicks in! Please feel free to check out the above mentioned haul, and to leave requests, which would be great to get me off the ground :)
   Thanks guys!
